This listing is for the 1988 specimen set
produced by the Royal Canadian Mint.  Since 1981 the mint has been producing a specimen set–this means that the coins have a particular quality of finish.  They are uncirculated and of a higher quality strike than circulation coins. There are 6 coins, each in specimen finish.
The coins come encased in a hard transparent plastic shell which is held tightly inside the blue
leather case and then surrounded by a silver cardboard sleeve.  A certificate of authenticity is
included.

50 cents – 100%  nickel

Cupro-nickel (75% copper, 25% nickel)

This set is in perfect, brand new condition.  Check out the
